Vikings’ Key Players Questionable for Sunday Game

The Minnesota Vikings may face the New Orleans Saints without several key players due to injuries. Receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, along with right tackle Brian O’Neill, are all listed as questionable for the upcoming game. Coach Kevin O’Connell announced Friday that decisions on their participation will be made Sunday morning, as none of the three were able to fully engage in practices this week.
In addition to the uncertainty around Jefferson, Addison, and O’Neill, the Vikings are dealing with injuries to other starters. Left guard Donovan Jackson is out for the season with a knee injury, and left tackle Christian Darrisaw has been ruled out for Sunday’s game under the concussion protocol. The team has prepared Joe Huber to start at left guard and Ryan Van Demark to take over for Darrisaw.
Justin Jefferson, expressed his desire to play in the upcoming game, stating, ‘Definitely something that I want to do.’ He emphasized his progression throughout the week but acknowledged the need to see how he feels closer to game day. The Vikings are looking ahead to their bye week following the game against the Saints. Jefferson has made 13 receptions totaling 179 yards and two touchdowns this season.
